Alfie Templeman - 110 Above Festival 2022

Alfie Templeman aged just 19, has been writing and recording since 2016, and his incredible debut was released in 2018. The Bedfordshire singer-songwriter and his band returned to 110 Above Festival, after the success of last years performance at the farm. Playing to an even bigger crowd this time, Alfie was welcomed to the stage by fans, bracing the intense summer heat, to see him perform their favourite, festival fitting tracks.

Alfie opened up his 10 song set with fan favourite ‘Candyfloss’ which instantly made the crowd burst into an energised eruption of song and dance. More people began to gather towards the stage to watch the performance as the sun set over the fields.

As the set continued, Alfie played the heavily synth-pop influenced single ‘broken’ taken from his latest album ‘Mellow Moon’, that was released earlier this year. Closing the song, Alfie began laughing as he explained to the crowd “We’ve messed up and forgot to bring the setlists so we are just winging it”. Despite this, Alfie had the crowd in the palm of his hand as he continued to sing the current radio favourite “3D feelings” which got the crowd bouncing.

Just before Templeman introduced his final song, he thanked the crowd of 110 Above for coming down and he gave a shoutout to each individual band member. The opening notes of ‘Happiness in Liquid Form’ began to play, and the crowd opened up, creating intense dance pits and danced like no one was watching.

Alfie and his bassist Cam Owden hopped off stage onto the barrier of the audience to close off the song. The crowd went crazy and roaring cheers echoed across the field. It is safe to say, Templeman left the crowd pumped up for the later headliner performance from Sea Girls.
