Cortney Dixon- Think Tank, Newcastle

On Friday 7th October, South Shields' very own Cortney Dixon took stage at Think Tank, Newcastle supporting one of the best upcoming artists at the moment, Ellie Dixon. Cortney opened her set with her latest single ‘Big Deal’ which was released early last month. Dixon's band created such an infectious beat to accompany Cortney's spell-binding and raw vocals on this new tune.

As always Cortney never fails to impress with her stunning outfits which always manage to catch the eye of the crowd. The set then moved onto one of my personal favorites ‘Summer Love’ which you can only hear live as it is yet to be released. I've heard this song twice before and without a doubt it just gets better every time you hear it.

Dixon released a single in early summer of this year called ‘Bang Bang, Honey Honey’ which received such an amazing response from the fans of Cortney. The set was closed off with an unreleased song called ‘If you love somebody, don't fuck it up.’ Cortney told the crowd that a name for this song hasn't been fully decided yet but we cannot wait for this to be released on all platforms.

As always, Dixon and her band did an amazing job at getting the crowd moving and ready for the later performance of the Cambridge-born indie pop singer Ellie Dixon.
