Heidi Curtis- A Stones Throw Festival 2022

A week after upcoming Geordie artist, Heidi Curtis supported Sam Fender and Paolo Nutini on their Europe and UK tours, she took to the stage as one of the headline artists at the first ever "A Stones Throw" festival on Saturday 28th May. The festival took place in multiple venues around North Shields and Tynemouth, presenting a wide array of artists, most of which, with Geordie roots.

Just before 9pm, Heidi stepped out onto the stage waving and smiling to an exhilarated crowd. "The Exchange" which, sits in the grounds of a Grade II listed building, located in North Shields, makes it not only a beautiful venue for a show like Heidi's but also a very fitting location for a hometown show.

The 10 song set kicked off with, Heidi behind the keys for her song "Red Light". Performed with Matty Mcdonald behind the drum kit and Josh Thompson on the synths, creating an infectious beat to accompany Heidi's spell-binding and raw vocals. The stage was flooded, appropriately with red light adding such a mesmirising effect to the performance of this song.

Heidi and her fellow band mates were dressed in their usual funky, fashionable getup. Heidi, was dressed as a real life fairy, in a beautiful orange and white handkerchief hem dress, paired with bright white cowboy boots. Heidi had a real connection with her hometown crowd as she thanked everyone for being there, explaining "how good it is t be home". This led the crowd to roars of cheers and screams, as everyone was happy to be watching a local artist playing on their doorstep.

As Heidi's set continued into the night, it came to the time for her and the band to play "Comfort Me". before the opening notes rang out she told the 300 person crowd, "This song is about love, so grab someone you love and dance".

The whole crowd held onto the people they were with and swayed side to side to the heart warming tune. People shined the light of their phone torches in the air as they embraced one another and Heidi projected her beautiful vocals.

After Heidi spent the night switching between playing guitar and keys, she finished off her set by singing her song "Give Me Up", bopping her head to the beat and smiling as she watched the crowd all jump and dance. It was too irresistible not to move to the rhythm of the song and Heidi's stunning vocals. We are all very eager to hear when Heidi Curtis's debut single release date will be.
