Sea Girls- Leeds Festival

On the Saturday of Leeds Festival the 4 piece indie rockers, Sea Girls, hit main stage west to energise the crowd up for their later headliners 'Foals'.

'Damage Done' from their debut album 'Open Up Your Head' had begun playing as the band hit the stage at roughly 2:40 p.m. It is clear that this band's fan base has expanded rapidly after multiple appearances at this festival and a number of other festivals throughout the UK over the years.

Henry Camamile, the band's frontman, always has an ability of pushing a boisterous festival crowd to the edge. When he walks on stage, the audience erupts in applause and screams in response.

The band performs a variety of songs from both of their albums, which is enjoyable to hear from Sea Girls because more artists favour one album more than the other when performing.

We have seen that Sea Girls have been performing and teasing clips of their unreleased song "Weekends & Workdays" recently on their various social media accounts, particularly Instagram and TikTok, which has had their entire following eager for them to release it. As anticipated, the band played this hit song, and despite the fact that it is not publicly accessible, the audience appeared to know the chorus word for word from hearing snippets on social media.

The band always ends their set with two fan favourites, "All I Want To Hear You Say" and "Call Me Out", which never fails to impress. For the last song, Camamile always makes sure he goes to the barrier to interact with the crowd of fans who have came to watch them perform today. The indie rockers Sea Girls once again put on a remarkable performance, and while they can never be faulted for that, this performance simply shows that they need to be given a longer set as the crowd are psyched for more of their bangers.
