The Redroom- The Grove, Newcastle

A week after the five piece make their return from playing Leeds Festival, they hit the stage at The Grove for their hometown headline show.

The Redroom performed in Newcastle for the first time since they appeared on the MainStage of Coast Fest in July of this year. As the band entered the stage, the venue was jam-packed from front to back.

Being back in their hometown after being now based in Manchester, it was only fitting to cover a song by a local legend, Sam Fender, by covering 'That Sound', which energised the audience for the evening.

The audience joined in singing along with the band's front woman Jess' mesmerising and rousing vocals on the timeless song "Nostalgia," which was released back in 2020.

Jess then went onto describe that 'the next song is a song about a woman who I met at a festival and she was out of it and when I asked her where she's from she shouted NOWHERE. So this song is about that woman'. The band then went on to performed their single 'The Woman From Nowhere' which was released earlier in April this year.

The five-piece closed out their set with their most recent single, "Coffee," which was released to their listeners the day before. We noticed as the band has played this song at previous gigs, the song already had a massive liking taken to it from the crowd.

The Redroom knows how to put on a show and give the audience a memorable evening. If you've missed this show, we recommend checking out their Manchester headline gig at the end of this month. The band's success is growing and we love watching them as they do it.
