Wunderhorse- St James Park, Newcastle

From seeing them play a sold out 150 cap venue to supporting Sam Fender at his sold out 52,000 cap show, Wunderhorse really knows how to put on a psychedelic rock show.

For a band that only released their debut album 8 months ago, they sure are living up to the indie rocker performers that we imagined them to be. The four piece band joined Sam Fender at his second sold out show at St James.

The band hit the stage at around 6pm to the theme of the title track of their EP ‘Leader Of The Pack’ released back in July last year. The crowd buzzed to see the lads hit the hard hitting bassline of the tune they were about to rock the stadium with.

Slater and the boys performed a few songs off their debut album, including "Purple" and "Teal," which have proven to be among the listeners' favourite.

The lads wrapped up their set with an unreleased song called ‘Superman’ which I found to be an enthralling performance given by Slater.

These four indie rockers certainly know how to give a performance and to fascinate their crowd. We eagerly anticipate the sounds on Jacob's solo album, which will be released this summer, as well as the four-piece's hopefully soon-coming return to Newcastle.
